John Fletcher, Principal
Mr. Fletcher is the founder and CEO of Fletcher Spaght, Inc., a consulting firm providing strategy and financing assistance to new ventures, and Founding Partner of Fletcher Spaght Ventures, L.P., a venture capital fund investing in emerging growth high technology and healthcare companies. Fletcher Spaght, Inc. provides strategy and financing assistance to new ventures, including start-up companies, risk capital investors and emerging technologies/growth enterprises within larger organizations. Fletcher Spaght Ventures, L.P., invests in emerging growth high technology and healthcare companies. Prior to launching FSI in 1983, Mr. Fletcher was a Senior Manager at The Boston Consulting Group.
Mr. Fletcher has also served as a board member for Axcelis, AutoImmune, GlycoFi, NMT Medical, Quick Study Radiology, Spectranetics, Panacos Pharmaceuticals and 4DataLink. He serves on the Board of Overseers and Cardiology Council of Children’s Hospital of Boston, the Board of Advisors of the Boston University Photonics Center, the Whitehead Institute at MIT, the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, and the School of Government and Business at George Washington University.
Mr. Fletcher holds an Master of the Arts in Finance from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania where he also served as an instructor. Prior to Wharton, Mr. Fletcher was a Captain and fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University, and a Bachelor of the Arts from George Washington University.
